Thank you for a very warm welcome in your very lovely house. A lot of things came together to give us the feeling to be at the right time in the right place: a real cosy little place , with a great view. magic surroundings, nice little town, but first of all extraordinary friendly people here in England. We enjoyed our time here and maybe we will come back again.

Location

The quaint town of Marazion is one of the oldest in Britain, having received its charter in 1257. It is set on one of the most beautiful bays in the world, with expansive sandy beaches and clean water, offering safe bathing.

St Michael’s Mount was originally a Benedictine monastery, with pilgrims visiting and staying in the town, but today is more of a stately home to the St Aubyns family, sitting astride the cobbled  access causeway, with its own harbour and gardens.

The town itself offers a great choice of eateries, from award winning restaurants , pubs, tea rooms and cafes to take away fish and chips and pasties. There are half a dozen galleries showcasing the work of local artists and craftfolk. In addition, there is the Quaker meeting house and the town museum and many seaward facing points, providing cameo views across to the Mount.

Here the coastal path provides views across Mounts Bay, taking you to Perranuthnoe, Prussia Coves and Porthleven to the east and Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole to the west.
